This new two week free strength training class using a large exercise ball and hand weights will begin on Wednesday August 3rd at 1pm Eastern Time. You should obtain clearance from your healthcare provider before beginning any new exercise routine.
The large exercise or stability ball can be used to create a fun and unique session and remove boredom from your fitness routine. Challenge yourself by using a ball to help you improve your balance and strengthen muscle and bone. Sitting on a ball also reinforces the need for good posture while performing each exercise.
This instructional gentle full body workout using an exercise ball and hand weights is safe for osteoporosis. There is no unsafe forward bending or extreme twisting. This class is not for those who are frail or new to exercise. Those who need to improve their balance should perform the exercises near or holding on to a sturdy chair.
You will need a large exercise ball, hand weights, a mat, and a resistance band. A Zoom invite will be sent the evening before the class. Do not reuse the link-each link is unique.
