Strength Training and Stretching for Osteoporosis Using a Large Exercise Ball and Hand Weights

This free strength training class using a large exercise ball and hand weights will take place on Tuesday, October 18, at 7:00pm ET

The large exercise or stability ball can be used to create a fun and unique session and remove boredom from your fitness routine. Challenge yourself by using a ball to help you improve your balance and strengthen muscle and bone. Sitting on a ball also reinforces the need for good posture while performing each exercise.

This instructional gentle full body workout using an exercise ball and hand weights is safe for osteoporosis. There is no unsafe forward bending or extreme twisting. This class is not for those who are frail or new to exercise.

You should obtain clearance from your healthcare provider before beginning any new exercise routine. You will need a large exercise ball, hand weights, a mat, and a resistance band.  A Zoom invite will be sent the evening before the class.
